The phone rang a few minutes ago.
My aunt was on the line, she asked for my dad
in a distinctly dejected tone. My Grandma had
passed away.
I was planning to visit her this weekend before
my block leave ends. Now I feel guilty that I delayed
the visit. Life is unpredictable isnt it? I wonder
where she is now, what else goes on after death.
Thank you, for all the care you've showered on me
all these years.

Miraculously, I got through my pilot interview.
Bangkok is a paradise for shopping junkies and
backpackers I'd say. We booked a hotel
for 3D3N at $55 per person. Quite a steal I'd say.
The hospitality of thai citizens are just one of a kind.
Its a joy to speak to them although 70% of the conversation
would be carried out through sign language or a calculator.
The taxi fares are dirt cheap if you go by the meter; For
every 2KM travelled, its 1 baht! The exchange rate is 24baht to 1SGD.
I had the impression that the roadside stalls were filthy
and shunned them. Till my rumbling stomach gave into temptation.
A simple bowl of kway teow soup with chicken shreds really made my day.
I regretted not trying out the other stalls!
Shopping is an art over there, divide whatever's quoted to you by
half then work from there. Walking away sometimes boosts your chances.

The night markets are a happening lot, with everything and anything
on sale, one can only hope for one thing; that is not to get lost.
How I wished I had a set of walkie talkies. My month's phone bill is gonna
sky rocket.
We walked past the night clubs and I could only remember of one,
"pussy collection". Took a quick snap as I went by, dozen of women
bar top dancing with glow in the dark lingerie. Talk about getting
hot in there!
There was one really weird thing tat happened.
Somehow my friend discovered this giant hand print on my back.
I've no explanation for it other than uneven spreading of
sun block at Sentosa the day before.
No one has laid a finger on me and the palm size is too big
to fit anyone's hand. Creepy?
